Pick the clan that helps your build
When you roll a clan in Slayers 2, ask what it does for the character you are playing. Damage, stamina, defense, experience, and mastery bonuses all help while you level. A clan tied to one Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art only earns its value once you use that matching setup.
That means a new character does not need to burn through every Clan Reroll. An Uncommon or Rare result can carry the opening bandit and bear quests. At that point, movement, blocking, weapons, and skill points decide more fights than moving up one rarity band. Save some rerolls until you know whether the character will be a Slayer, a Demon, a poison specialist, a particular Breathing Style user, or a PvP build.
This guide covers the live September 2026 launch period. Clan effects can change with balance updates, so check the current in-game clan panel before spending a large stack of rerolls.
Rolling clans and reading their kits
Clans are rolled from the character customization screen. You can get Clan Rerolls from codes and in-game rewards. Current menus also include routes that use Ore or Robux. Each roll lands in one of six bands: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythic, or Supreme.
Higher rarity usually means more statistics, passives, modes, or active skills, but scarcity alone does not make a clan right for you. Some lower-rarity families have a useful, specific job. Urokodaki helps Water users, Yahaba gives you a displacement tool, and ordinary early rolls let you begin questing without emptying your resources.
Read the whole kit before deciding:
| Clan feature | What it changes | What to check before keeping it |
|---|---|---|
| Base statistics | Health, stamina, movement, or damage factors | Whether the benefit works in every fight |
| Passive effects | Mastery, experience, resistance, regeneration, or conditional damage | Whether the trigger matches your normal route |
| Active clan skills | Stuns, counters, modes, healing, debuffs, or summons | Cooldown, range, recovery, and combo value |
| Style affinity | Improves a named Breathing Style or Demon setup | Whether you will actually use that style |
| Faction benefit | Helps Slayers, Demons, or both | Whether part of the kit becomes wasted on your faction |
Rarity rates and conflicting clan lists
The six rarity bands are consistent across current launch guides, but some clan rosters assign different families to the top pools. The menu beside your rolled result is the dependable place to check its current rarity. Do that before relying on a percentage chart you found elsewhere.
The launch rates commonly listed are 60% Common, 23% Uncommon, 12% Rare, 4% Legendary, 0.9% Mythic, and 0.1% Supreme. Treat them as a September 2026 snapshot because an update can adjust the pools. Those numbers describe an entire rarity band, not the chance to land one named family within it.
What the notable clans actually do
Comparing jobs is more useful than comparing colors. A specialized clan can be excellent for one character and nearly wasted on another.
| Clan | Practical role | Best fit | Main caution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rengoku | High offensive pressure, burn support, strong mode | General damage and Flame-oriented builds | Balance changes can shift its damage lead |
| Kamado | Damage, stamina, Demon regeneration, sun immunity | Demons that need daytime freedom; broad builds | Part of its value is faction-specific |
| Soyama | Counterplay, stun, stored-damage pressure | PvP and players comfortable timing counters | Less passive farming value than progression clans |
| Uzui | Damage amplification, defensive tools, poison counter | Slayers, PvP, and poison-heavy matchups | Its value drops when the opponent lacks poison |
| Agatsuma | Thunder synergy and progression bonuses | Thunder Breathing | A large part of the kit depends on Thunder |
| Kocho | Poison and Insect synergy | Insect Breathing poison builds | Matchups with strong poison answers reduce value |
| Shinazugawa | General buffs plus mastery and experience | Early progression and flexible Slayer builds | Wind synergy is not its only selling point |
| Douma | Auto-dodge style defense and combo escape | Demon progression and dueling | Defensive execution matters more than raw rarity |
| Ubuyashiki | Drop luck, experience, summon and block pressure | Farming and off-meta utility | Lower direct stat pressure than top damage clans |
| Urokodaki | Water support, mastery, mask defense | Early Water builds | Narrow once you leave Water |
These roles are not a permanent mathematical ranking. Kocho pays off when you actually use Insect and poison. Kamado gives a Demon regeneration and sun immunity that a Slayer cannot fully exploit. Rengoku and Soyama have broader combat uses, so they move between activities more easily.
Decide whether to keep or reroll
Before pressing reroll, answer five questions:
- Which faction are you playing? A Demon values daytime access, Blood Demon Art support, regeneration, and survivability differently from a Slayer.
- What are you doing next? Questing, boss farming, PvP, and mastery grinding reward different bonuses.
- Did you read every field? Check statistics, passives, active skills, mode requirements, and style restrictions.
- Did you test a complete combat loop? Fight a normal group and then a tougher target. Notice which effects activate during the way you already play.
- What result will make you stop? Keep the first clan that clearly supports the build. Supreme does not need to be the only acceptable result.
This also stops a fresh account from spending all its spins before unlocking the ability that makes a specialized clan worthwhile.
What Slayers and Demons should prioritize
Slayer priorities
Early Slayers get dependable value from stamina, damage, defense, mastery, and quest experience. After choosing a Breathing Style, direct synergy matters more. Agatsuma is an obvious fit for Thunder, Kocho for Insect, and Urokodaki or Tomioka for Water. If you dislike the required style, the rarity label will not repair the mismatch.
Demon priorities
Demons should look for survivability, Blood Demon Art or weapon mastery, and bonuses that address faction restrictions. Kamado is especially useful because its launch kit gives Demons regeneration and sun immunity. Douma also supports Demon progression. Check the live skill descriptions before locking either one, since faction rules and numerical values can change.
Mistakes that waste Clan Rerolls
Rolling before choosing a route makes every result harder to judge. Decide on a faction and combat plan first. Do not mistake rarity for a tier list either. A rare kit full of bonuses you cannot trigger is still a poor fit.
Conditional text deserves extra attention. Party, low-health, mask, poison, and style requirements can turn an impressive line into dead weight. Experience and mastery clans also deserve more respect during leveling than they receive in endgame PvP rankings. They can remove hours from the grind even if you replace them later.
Finally, do not build your entire decision around one patch number. A buff or nerf can change which clan wins a damage comparison without changing its rarity.
Test the clan before spending again
Start with one normal quest pack and time your usual rotation. Then fight a mini-boss and watch whether the clan improves damage, defense, cooldown control, or recovery for the full encounter. Finish with the activity the clan claims to support: a Water training loop for Urokodaki, a poison rotation for Kocho, or a real duel for Soyama and Douma.
Keep your weapon, equipment, and skill tree unchanged while comparing. If you swap everything at once, you cannot tell what the clan contributed. Track clear time, remaining health, and how often its special passive activates. During progression, a smaller bonus that works every quest often beats a larger bonus that shows up once in ten fights.
Active clan skills need practice too. A counter fired early looks weak, a mode used after the damage window wastes its duration, and a party passive does nothing while you are solo. Give the full kit several attempts. Reroll when those attempts show a persistent mismatch with your faction or chosen style, not because the first animation looked unimpressive.
FAQ
How do you get a clan in Slayers 2?
Open character customization and use a Clan Reroll. Codes and in-game rewards provide rerolls, while the live menu shows any current paid or Ore options.
Are Supreme clans always the best?
No. They offer extensive kits, but a specialized Mythic or Legendary clan can outperform a mismatched Supreme clan when its style synergy is active.
Should a beginner reroll a Common clan immediately?
Only if you already have spare rerolls. Early quests depend more on blocking, dashing, weapon upgrades, and level progress, so preserving resources is a sound first-session choice.
Which clan is best for a Demon?
Kamado is a strong launch-period choice because its kit includes Demon regeneration and sun immunity. Compare it with your Blood Demon Art and verify the current panel after updates.
Can clan effects change?
Yes. Clan damage, cooldowns, resistance, and synergy rankings are balance-sensitive. Recheck the live description before a major reroll session.
