Muzan waits in Mistfall Harbor, north of the Bear area. He appears at night once your reputation triggers the message “Find me at nightfall.” Finish the reputation step first, wait for night, then travel from Bamboo Grove toward the harbor.
Talk to Muzan and choose “Take the bell.” Equip the Biwa Bell from your inventory and use it to teleport to Muzan’s Lair, where the Demon transformation quests begin.
This location route is for the September 2026 Slayers 2 launch build. Old Project Slayers maps describe a random Muzan spawn system and should not be used as a direct atlas.
Finish the reputation gate first
Muzan is not a regular NPC who stays visible all day. Lower your reputation by defeating civilians or Demon Slayer NPCs, then watch for the nightfall message.
Use the message rather than a reputation number copied from another server or patch. If “Find me at nightfall” has not appeared, continue the reputation route and check Player Info again.

Do not begin this route if you intend to stay a Slayer. The full quest ends in a faction transformation and replaces the Slayer progression path with Demon systems.
Route from Bamboo Grove to Mistfall Harbor
Use the Bear area as the starting anchor because most early players already know Tom, Mother Bear, and the nearby shrine.
- Set the Bamboo Grove or Bear-area spawn before leaving.
- Open the map and enable the area and quest markers.
- Travel north from the Bear area toward Mistfall Harbor.
- Enter the harbor settlement and wait for full night if daylight remains.
- Search the active quest marker and central NPC area for Muzan.
- Approach only after the nightfall reputation prompt has appeared.
If your map is still locked, return to Windy Peak and complete the Book of Guidance quest. Mistfall Harbor is a long walk without navigation or fast travel, and guessing from an old map can send you toward the wrong world layout.
Recognize the correct encounter
The correct Muzan interaction offers a direct choice:
- Take the bell accepts the Demon route and gives the Biwa Bell.
- Not yet declines the offer and leaves the questline unopened.
Choose deliberately. After taking the bell, open the inventory, equip it, and use it. The item transports you to Muzan’s Lair rather than asking you to find a hidden physical entrance.
The bell remains the practical way to return during the transformation chain. Keep it equipped until both required tasks have been handed in.
Complete Muzan’s two tasks
Capture Dr. Higoshima
Follow the live quest marker to Dr. Higoshima, pick him up, and carry him to the marked delivery point. Slayer NPCs can spawn and attack while you carry him. Keep moving instead of stopping to clear every group.
Double Jump and Wall Climb help on the cliff route. Preserve stamina for the awkward terrain, use short escapes when blocked, and return to the marker as soon as the path opens.
Collect nine Spider Lilies
The second task requires nine Spider Lilies. They spawn at night around water and settlement routes. The Water Trainee area is a practical checkpoint: collect the available flowers, then continue the nearby circuit or change servers if the spawns have already been taken.
Do not confuse Demon Horns or Beast Cores with this step. Those materials support Breathing trainers. Muzan asks for Spider Lilies as a separate collection objective.
Drink Muzan’s Blood and verify the change
After both tasks are complete, return to Muzan and receive Muzan’s Blood. It arrives as an inventory item; the transformation does not happen until you use it.
Drink the blood, wait for the sequence to finish, then open Player Info. Confirm the faction or progression display now identifies the Demon route. A title notification can also mark the change.
Handle these next:
- Arrange sun protection before daytime travel.
- Return to Muzan’s Lair for Demon quests and Evil Art systems.
- Roll or train an Evil Art only after checking its requirements.
- Equip one Demon weapon line and raise its mastery during normal quests.
What to do in Muzan’s Lair
The Lair becomes a Demon progression hub. Evil Arts are rolled separately, then unlocked through their own training tasks and Skill Tree purchases. Becoming a Demon does not hand you a complete ability kit.

Blood Manipulation can require the Sickles weapon before its training advances. If the current Art names a weapon, obtain that item before assuming the quest is broken.

Muzan is a night encounter. Wait for night or join a server already in the night cycle.
The reputation prompt never appeared
Continue lowering reputation. The nightfall message is the confirmation that the gate is complete.
You are searching the wrong map
Use Mistfall Harbor in Slayers 2. Location lists for the original game contain different towns and a different Muzan system.
You chose “Not Yet”
That option declines the bell. Return after the encounter is available and accept the offer when you are ready to commit.
You have the bell but cannot find the lair
The bell is an inventory item. Equip and use it; do not search the harbor for a separate doorway.
Fit the route into one night cycle
Lower reputation near a settlement, wait for the message, travel to Mistfall Harbor, take the bell, and begin the Spider Lily search while flowers are active. Save Dr. Higoshima for a stretch when you can focus on movement and the escort.
Carry recovery items and set a spawn before the long trip. If night ends before Muzan appears, do not wander the harbor indefinitely. Use the time to finish other preparation, then return during the next cycle.
