The current tier list
The September 2026 Slayers 2 Blood Demon Art tier list puts Blood Sickles and Cryokinesis in S tier for PvE. Dream Manipulation, Speed Augmentation, and Destructive Death make up A tier when safety, mobility, or balanced progression matter. Combustible Blood is a workable B-tier kit. Arrow, Temari, and Flesh or Obi Manipulation rank lower because they are slower, easier to read, or harder to reward than the stronger alternatives.
| Tier | Blood Demon Arts | Best reason to use them |
|---|---|---|
| S | Blood Sickles, Cryokinesis | Best boss damage/control and complete PvE kits |
| A | Dream Manipulation, Speed Augmentation, Destructive Death | Safe range, mobility, or balanced progression |
| B | Combustible Blood | Usable general kit without top-tier dominance |
| C | Arrow, Temari | Utility or projectile play with clear consistency issues |
| D | Flesh/Obi Manipulation | Weak launch performance and difficult payoff |
This order is built mainly for PvE. In PvP, movement, baiting, matchups, and connection quality can matter more than raw farming speed. A mobile A-tier art can outperform a slow S-tier boss rotation in a duel.

S tier leads boss farming
Blood Sickles
Blood Sickles, tied to Gyutaro and the Blood Manipulation route, has the strongest PvE case at launch. High damage and reliable stuns let a practiced user pressure or solo bosses. It also clears normal farming packs quickly and scales well into harder fights.
Its cost is the weapon requirement. Blood Manipulation needs Sickles from Hoyuzo in the cave below the bear area. If you do not want to farm or equip that weapon, the art is not an S-tier choice for your particular build.
Cryokinesis
Cryokinesis controls enemies through freeze, a counter, and hyper armor. It gives up some of the raw Blood Sickles lead in return for safer damage windows. That extra control helps in boss fights where one interruption would otherwise ruin the rotation.
Use freeze to confirm your damage instead of spending all control at the same time. A target that is already frozen gains nothing from an overlapping stun, and you will need that second answer when it recovers.
A tier has strong specialists
Dream Manipulation is the safer ranged choice. Tracking moves maintain pressure on moving enemies and reduce the demand for perfect aim. It can clear more slowly than an S-tier art, but fewer failed close-range exchanges can make its real completion time better for a new Demon.
Speed Augmentation, also called the Slasher theme, emphasizes mobility and aggressive repositioning. Players who like controlling the distance will get more from it, though it has not shown the same boss dominance as Blood Sickles.
Destructive Death is a balanced progression kit. It farms and levels without a severe weakness, but its endgame ceiling sits below the leaders. Keep it while building the account, then consider a reroll later when you have spare resources and a specific upgrade in mind.
B through D can work, but check the tradeoff
Combustible Blood offers enough general utility to progress comfortably. It simply does not beat the higher tiers in boss damage, control, or safety. On a fresh account, that is a reason to keep it rather than gamble immediately.
Arrow provides movement and displacement, but predictable lines and slower attacks let enemies get away. Temari has a similar projectile problem against mobile targets. Flesh or Obi Manipulation has the weakest launch agreement and becomes the first reroll candidate once you can afford a deliberate attempt at something better.
| Lower-tier art | Keep it if | Replace it if |
|---|---|---|
| Combustible Blood | You are progressing comfortably | You need a dedicated boss or control kit |
| Arrow | You enjoy movement and have reliable combo setups | Enemies consistently evade the opener |
| Temari | Your spacing makes projectiles connect | Slow casts fail against normal movement |
| Flesh/Obi | You are still testing the full unlocked kit | Its payoff remains low after training |
Best art for each activity
| Activity | First choice | Alternative | Decision rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boss farming | Blood Sickles | Cryokinesis | Damage lead versus control and safety |
| Safe leveling | Dream Manipulation | Destructive Death | Range versus balanced simplicity |
| Fast movement | Speed Augmentation | Arrow | Reliable mobility versus utility setup |
| Learning Demon combat | Destructive Death | Combustible Blood | Complete, understandable rotations |
| PvP experimentation | Cryokinesis or Speed Augmentation | Dream Manipulation | Confirmed control or flexible spacing |
Test the art instead of trusting a letter
Use the same three fights for every kit. Time one normal enemy pack and watch how long you wait on cooldowns. Fight a boss and count how often the main combo gets interrupted. Then choose a moving target and see if your opener still connects when the opponent refuses to stand still.
Rate damage, control, range, mobility, recovery safety, and acquisition cost separately. This explains why reasonable players rank the same art differently. A practiced Blood Sickles user who owns the weapon gets the full S-tier experience. A fresh Demon without Sickles only sees an incomplete route. A Dream player can value safe clears more highly than a speedrunner values maximum burst.
Sensible reroll rules
Keep every S-tier roll. Keep A tier unless it clashes with how you want to play. B tier is good enough for early progression. Only reroll C or D when you have enough spins to accept another weak result, and write down your acceptable targets before starting.
Do not throw away a trained art because it moved one place after a patch. Read what changed, rerun the three fights, and check whether the kit still clears your content. The actual result matters more than the new letter.
Score PvE with six questions
Boss value is not the size of one hit. Blood Sickles earns S tier because stun makes room for its damage to finish. Cryokinesis reaches a similar outcome through freeze, counters, and hyper armor. Dream trades clear speed for tracking and range, which can prevent failed attempts.
Use this scorecard when an update changes the meta:
| Category | Question | High score means |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | How much of the boss bar falls per safe rotation? | Fewer complete cycles |
| Control | Can the kit stop or delay retaliation? | More confirmed damage windows |
| Range | Can it work outside basic attack distance? | Less exposure to boss strings |
| Mobility | Can it enter and leave without wasting the whole cooldown bar? | Better uptime and recovery |
| Reliability | Does the same sequence work repeatedly? | Fewer resets caused by misses |
| Cost | What weapon, training, and points are required? | Faster route to a complete build |
Blood Sickles loses points on cost because of Hoyuzo’s weapon drop, but its performance keeps it on top. Destructive Death gains accessibility and remains a strong progression keep. Arrow and Temari lose reliability when mobile enemies repeatedly step out of their readable projectiles.
PvP changes the order
Duels reward mobility, defensive timing, surprising openers, and short confirmed damage. Speed Augmentation can rise above its PvE slot when repositioning creates the first hit. Cryokinesis stays strong because a counter or freeze can reverse pressure. Dream remains useful, but an opponent who recognizes repeated tracking casts can bait them.
Blood Sickles still threatens enormous damage, yet another player is not a stationary boss. Hold the control move until you confirm a hit if the best combo needs a long setup. Arrow also has more room for creativity in PvP when its movement creates angles instead of sending slow attacks straight ahead.
A PvE speedrunner, defensive duelist, and high-latency player need different kinds of reliability. No table can give all three the same perfect order.
Acquisition cost changes stopping value
A top-tier art can still be a poor first target. New Demons with few spins should stop on Dream, Speed Augmentation, Destructive Death, or Combustible Blood and finish training. A complete kit earns levels and resources for the next roll session. Turning a functional art into Temari or Obi can delay progression longer than the desired upgrade would ever save.
Make two target lists. The broad progression list can include all S and A arts plus any B-tier kit you enjoy. The endgame list should focus on one activity. Use the broad list on a fresh account. Save the narrow list until the character can recover from a bad roll.
Rerank carefully after a patch
Read the current skill cards and repeat the same enemy and boss tests you used before the update. An animation can look unchanged even when a cooldown, hitbox, status duration, hyper armor window, or damage value moves. Record one complete rotation time and the boss health left afterward.
Only move an art when the update affects a core job. A small finisher nerf does not remove Dream’s tracking. A shorter freeze can seriously hurt Cryokinesis if its damage no longer fits inside the control window. A Blood Sickles damage reduction matters less if its stuns still create the fastest safe clear.
Examples of good decisions
A solo boss farmer with Blood Sickles should keep it and get the required weapon. A new Demon who rolls Dream should train it rather than chase Sickles immediately, since safe ranged clears help the account progress. A PvP player can reasonably rank Speed Augmentation over Dream. An Arrow user should practice the movement and reversal tools, then reroll if mobile targets continue to escape every opener.
Ask whether the kit completes your chosen content safely and quickly enough. The tier list organizes that answer, but it cannot replace your own repeatable fight test.
FAQ
What is the best Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?
Blood Sickles is the strongest current PvE choice, especially for boss damage. Cryokinesis is the best close alternative for control and safety.
Is Dream Manipulation S tier?
Some launch rankings place it near S because tracking and range make farming safe. This list keeps it in A because its clear speed trails the two leaders.
Is Destructive Death worth keeping?
Yes. It is a balanced progression art that farms and levels well, even if it does not lead the endgame ranking.
Does this tier list apply to PvP?
Only partially. PvP rewards movement, timing, and matchup tools differently, so test the full kit against real players before rerolling.
When should I reroll an art?
Reroll when the art fails a specific need and you have enough spins for the risk. Do not reroll only because a tier label changed.
