Let level gates set the route

Random mob farming is slower than a short quest loop. Stay with Bandits and Zuko to level 10, Tom’s Bears to 25 or 26, Chaka and Kaiden through the 30s, and Wagwan’s waterfall route from 40. After Final Selection or Demon transformation, move into your faction’s farms.

Quest requirements can shift after an update. If an NPC refuses the listed quest, read the live level prompt and run your current loop once more. A one-level difference does not change the overall route.

Levels 1 to 10: Bandits and Zuko

Start with Krue’s three-Bandit quest in Windy Peak. Repeat it until his Bandit Boss option appears around level 7. Fight Zuko when available and clear ordinary Bandits between boss spawns. Zuko’s chest can drop the Cutlass, but do not stall your entire route for it.

Finish the village side quests while you are here. Kona’s lost pages lead to the Book of Guidance, Lucy points you toward the Bear area, and Kazu’s delivery chain helps open the next quest route. Buy the Regular Katana from Raze for 500 Wen when you can; its improvement over fists shortens every following loop.

Level rangeQuest loopLeave when
1 to 6Krue’s three BanditsZuko quest becomes selectable
7 to 10Zuko plus Bandits between spawnsLucy and the Bear route are ready

Block the first enemy string, answer with a short combo, and dash away before a second target reaches you. Deaths and long walks cost more early experience than a small damage difference.

Levels 10 to 26: Tom’s Bear loop

Follow Lucy toward Tom in Bamboo Grove. The first Bear quest has appeared between levels 10 and 13 across launch servers; Tom’s current dialogue is the final check. Repeat the Bear Cub task until Mother Bear unlocks around level 18, then rotate both.

This loop is quick because the quest giver, regular targets, and boss sit close together. A distant boss with a better chest can still be a poor leveling choice. Short travel and immediate turn-ins keep the experience coming.

At level 25, pause long enough to start a Breathing Style if you are following the Slayer route. Trainer requirements vary. Farm only the materials your chosen trainer requests, then use the style during the rest of your leveling so its mastery grows alongside your character.

Levels 26 to 60: Chaka, Kaiden, and Wagwan

Complete Kazu’s notes chain in Windy Peak if Chaka will not offer the next step. Chaka’s subordinate quest opens in the mid-20s, and the Kaiden boss quest follows in the mid-30s. Move to Wagwan’s cave beneath the waterfall around level 40.

MilestoneMain activityPractical check
26 to 33Kaiden’s subordinates for ChakaClear the group without long recovery breaks
34 to 40Kaiden quest plus subordinatesUse boss downtime for the normal quest
40 to 60Wagwan’s guards and Hoyuzo routePrepare your faction gate while leveling
45+Final Selection becomes availableLevel 60 is safer for a solo first clear

Hoyuzo’s cave can remain useful beyond the minimum because enemies are dense and travel is short. Stay while the clear is safe and the experience remains competitive. Move once a later quest pays better without adding a long run or repeated deaths.

Slayer route after level 45

Enter Final Selection only after you have movement upgrades, a practiced Breathing Style, and recovery items. The event runs every two hours and includes collection, combat, underwater, parkour, timed, capture, and boss objectives. Passing grants the first Slayer rank and a Kasugai Crow.

Equip the Crow after the exam because its bounty quests stack with normal farming. After becoming a Slayer, current progression accounts use these broad steps:

  1. Continue Wagwan or Hoyuzo-area quests until later routes open.
  2. Move into the next Slayer-only quest zones when the NPC level prompt allows it.
  3. Combine bounty objectives with the enemies you already need to defeat.
  4. Use bosses for mastery and targeted equipment, not as the only source of experience.
  5. Raise Slayer Progress for permanent stat gains when you can afford the relevant training loop.

Later gates continue through the 60s, 70s, 90s, and beyond, but their NPC requirements are more sensitive to updates. Follow the red recommended-quest marker and confirm each new quest’s level prompt instead of walking to an endgame spot that your character cannot use.

Demon route after transformation

Demons do not take Final Selection. Lower reputation, find Muzan at night, complete the Spider Lily and Dr. Higoshima objectives, then drink Muzan’s Blood. Once Player Info shows Demon Progress, build your leveling loop around human NPCs, Slayers, and Demon-side bosses.

Daylight changes the route. Secure sun protection before planning long daytime travel, or schedule your farming during the night cycle. Keep one reliable Blood Demon Art rotation and increase its mastery through normal fights rather than repeatedly rerolling for a theoretical best option.

Demon priorityWhy it helps leveling
Sun protectionPrevents the day cycle from stopping your route
Area damageClears quest groups without separate pulls
Mobility or controlReduces recovery time and failed encounters
One weapon lineConcentrates mastery instead of splitting progress

Leveling and mastery are separate

Character experience opens quests and awards skill points. Weapon, Breathing, or Evil Art mastery advances by using that combat option. A high character level does not automatically unlock the full moveset.

Build both at once:

  • Equip the weapon or style you intend to develop before turning to repeatable quests.
  • Finish ordinary enemies with the relevant moves instead of swapping only for bosses.
  • Spend skill points on Double Jump and Wall Climb early, then fix health, stamina, or block weaknesses.
  • Use titles and stat-bearing equipment when their bonuses support your current loop; use vanity equip only for appearance.
  • Avoid resetting skill points until you can describe what the new allocation will solve.

Check each farm for wasted time

Experience per minute depends on quest and enemy payouts after travel and failed attempts are counted. A harder quest is still slower if half the rotation goes into running or recovering.

Use this test before moving:

The launch build can award more experience in busier public servers, but those lobbies also create contested bosses and chests. Use a populated server for repeatable mob quests; consider a quieter server when a specific spawn is the bottleneck.

A practical 1 to 225 checklist

Use milestone checks for the late game because its exact level numbers can change:

  • 1 to 10: Krue, Bandits, Zuko, local side quests, first katana.
  • 10 to 25/26: Tom, Bear Cubs, Mother Bear, level 25 Breathing decision.
  • 26 to 40: Chaka’s subordinates, then Kaiden.
  • 40 to 60: Wagwan’s waterfall and Hoyuzo-area loop; prepare Final Selection or the Demon transformation.
  • 60+: follow faction quest markers, stack Crow or faction objectives with dense farms, and move when the live level gate opens.
  • Late game toward 225: alternate high-yield faction quests with bosses that advance your needed mastery or equipment goal.

If the recommended marker sends you somewhere new, activate the nearest shrine before fighting. If a quest takes several minutes longer than your previous rotation, return to the old loop until your damage and survivability catch up.

Common leveling traps

  • Farming a boss with a long respawn while ignoring nearby repeatable quests.
  • Leaving Windy Peak before finishing progression-linked side quests.
  • Reaching level 25 but postponing the mastery grind for your chosen style.
  • Spending every skill point on damage and then failing movement routes.
  • Entering Final Selection at 45 with no healing, no practiced style, and no group.
  • Treating a content creator’s boosted account speed as a normal baseline.

FAQ

What is the fastest early leveling route in Slayers 2?

Repeat Krue’s Bandits to the Zuko gate, reach roughly level 10, then rotate Tom’s Bear Cub and Mother Bear quests until level 25 or 26.

When should I leave the Bear area?

Leave after Chaka’s next quest is selectable and you have handled your level 25 Breathing decision. If the new quest is too slow, finish another Bear rotation.

Do I need Final Selection to keep leveling?

Slayers need it for later Slayer progression. Demons follow Muzan’s transformation route instead. You can gain levels before either gate, but faction content opens the stronger long-term loops.

Why is my moveset still locked at a high level?

Moves use separate mastery. Fight with the relevant weapon, Breathing Style, or Evil Art to raise that mastery.

Is level 45 enough for Final Selection?

The September 2026 entry prompt requires level 45. Level 60, movement upgrades, healing, and a trained style make the first solo attempt much safer.
