The short ranking
The September 2026 Slayers 2 clan tier list puts Rengoku, Soyama, Uzui, Kamado, Agatsuma with Thunder, and Kocho with Insect in S tier. Himejima, Iguro, Shinazugawa, and Douma belong in A tier. Shabana, Tamayo, Ubuyashiki, Tomioka, and Urokodaki have useful but narrower roles. Yahaba, Sabito, Makomo, and Susumaru sit lower because their current kits have a more limited ceiling.
Do not reroll an A-tier clan just because another name has an S beside it. Faction, activity, and style synergy can reverse the order. A new Slayer can get more from Shinazugawa’s progression bonuses than from a top clan whose signature passive never activates.
Ranking updated September 20, 2026. It weighs PvE, PvP, accessibility, and progression instead of treating rarity as performance. Check the current skill text after a balance patch.
Complete Slayers 2 clan tier list
| Tier | Clans | Why they sit here |
|---|---|---|
| S | Rengoku, Soyama, Uzui, Kamado, Agatsuma with Thunder, Kocho with Insect | High damage or control, strong complete kits, or exceptional build synergy |
| A | Himejima, Iguro, Shinazugawa, Douma | Strong general or specialized value with fewer universal advantages |
| B | Shabana, Tamayo, Ubuyashiki, Tomioka, Urokodaki | Useful team, farming, Water, or utility niches but clear tradeoffs |
| C | Yahaba, Sabito, Makomo, Susumaru | Playable early tools with lower endgame impact or strict party/style requirements |
| Starter | Common and Uncommon results | Keep temporarily while you level and collect rerolls |
Where you play changes the order inside each tier. Uzui climbs against poison. Kocho climbs with Insect, Agatsuma with Thunder, and Kamado on a Demon. Ubuyashiki is far better when faster farming matters more than winning one duel.
Why the S-tier clans win
Rengoku brings broad offensive pressure
Rengoku combines a strong damage factor, burn pressure, burn-enhanced basic attacks, Indomitable Will, and a mode that adds damage and reflection. Most of that power works without a narrow party or style setup. Flame resistance and protection against the same clan stun used by other top families give it defensive value too.
Soyama turns defense into a punish
Soyama rewards players who can time a counter. A successful counter opens a free punish, while the rest of the kit converts enemy pressure into damage opportunities. It is at its best in PvP, though its damage and stun still contribute in PvE. If the counter stays unused on your hotbar, a large part of the clan is going to waste.
Uzui attacks and answers poison
Uzui mixes damage amplification, automatic defense tools, quest experience, and a punishing matchup perk: incoming poison can become healing. Poison builds have to change their usual rotation around it. The rest of the kit is strong enough for ordinary content, but poison-heavy fights are where Uzui feels exceptional.
Kamado solves Demon problems
Kamado supplies damage, stamina support, a stun, Combat Intuition, Demon regeneration, and sun immunity. Demons receive the complete package. Daytime protection frees an equipment choice, and regeneration slots naturally into their combat loop. Slayers still get offense and control, but part of the kit does nothing for them.
Agatsuma and Kocho need their matching styles
Agatsuma reaches S tier with Thunder Breathing thanks to Thunder damage, amplification, mastery, experience, and low-health pressure. Kocho reaches S tier with Insect through poison scaling, style support, debuffs, and poison immunity. Move either clan down if you are not using its matching style.
A tier is usually worth keeping
Himejima offers damage, mitigation, and progression value, although some of its design expects you to absorb or trade pressure. Iguro works well with Serpent and poison, adds mobility, and helps against bosses, but its strongest launch interactions have already attracted nerf discussion. Shinazugawa is one of the safest leveling results because it combines general damage, poison, mastery, and quest experience. Douma has strong automatic dodges and a clone escape for duels while also supporting Demon progression, but you still need to use its defensive tools deliberately.
| A-tier clan | Keep it when | Reroll it when |
|---|---|---|
| Himejima | You want a durable general build | You avoid every trade and want pure burst |
| Iguro | You use Serpent or poison and farm bosses | Your build has no use for those synergies |
| Shinazugawa | You value leveling, mastery, and broad buffs | You already finished progression and need a sharper niche |
| Douma | You play Demon or enjoy defensive PvP | You want simple, always-on PvE damage |
B and C tier still have jobs
Shabana can boost a group in PvE through zones and ally buffs. Tamayo provides healing, cooldown support, and debuffs, but you have to land its active skills because it lacks a broad passive package. Ubuyashiki is unusually good for farming thanks to experience and drop luck, then adds summons and block pressure. Tomioka and Urokodaki improve once you use Water, even though Water is not one of the top launch styles.
Yahaba at least brings knockback and a combo tool. Sabito and Makomo serve early Water builds. Susumaru supports Temari and a matching party. All four can clear progression content, but their advantages become easier to replace as your account collects more spins and build options.

Use the list before you reroll
First decide whether you are choosing for the next 20 levels or for a finished endgame build. A farming clan can speed up the route to endgame even if you replace it there. Then consider what each attempt costs. Every spin spent chasing a theoretical S tier is unavailable when you change styles later.
Test the conditions written into the kit. A counter, party aura, low-health mode, or poison passive adds nothing if your regular play never activates it. Choose a stopping rule before you open customization. “Any S tier that helps my faction, or any A tier that directly supports my style” is sensible and prevents a good account from getting worse through endless rerolls.
Adjust the tiers for the matchup
The main table assumes mixed content. Poison changes the picture immediately: Uzui’s conversion and Kocho’s immunity rise, while poison-only attackers lose pressure. Long bosses reward sustained damage, percentage effects, control, and regeneration more than short duel tricks. Quest leveling gives experience and mastery bonuses time to compound, so a small combat increase can be less useful overall.
Rengoku remains high because burn and general offense work almost everywhere. Soyama rises for a player who lands the counter consistently and drops for someone who ignores it. Kamado can be the best result for an unprotected Demon, then moves closer to the other broad damage clans once that Demon has dependable sun equipment. Agatsuma and Kocho can move an entire tier when their required Breathing synergy disappears.
| Matchup or activity | Move up | Move down | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poison-heavy PvP | Uzui, Kocho | Poison-only pressure | Immunity or conversion changes the trade |
| Long boss farming | Rengoku, Iguro, Kamado | Party-only utility while solo | Sustained damage and survival matter |
| Fresh account leveling | Shinazugawa, Uzui, Ubuyashiki | Narrow endgame gimmicks | Experience, mastery, and drops compound |
| Organized group PvE | Shabana, Tamayo | Selfish duel tools | Ally buffs, healing, and resets gain value |
| Water build | Tomioka, Urokodaki | Unrelated high-rarity clans | Direct style support becomes active |
| Thunder build | Agatsuma | General clan with no Thunder interaction | Style amplification raises total output |
Do not panic over one changed tier list
One creator moving a clan up a row is not a reason to reroll. Launch rankings already disagree because some value solo PvE, organized groups, or PvP more heavily. Pay attention when an update changes a skill, passive, cooldown, damage factor, status interaction, or the activity you care about. A different opinion with no mechanical change is not a build emergency.
After a patch, compare the old and new clan panels. If the altered effect is absent from your normal rotation, keep playing. If it breaks your central synergy, repeat one ordinary farming run and one boss before deciding. This matters most for percentage damage, poison, automatic defense, and cooldown resets because a small numerical adjustment can change a full fight more than it first suggests.
Examples of sensible keeps
A new Thunder Slayer who rolls Agatsuma should stop even if a chart puts Rengoku first. Thunder support and quest experience help both the current style and the remaining leveling route. A max-level Demon without sun protection should keep Kamado because it removes a movement restriction without sacrificing top combat value. A group healer can reasonably place Tamayo above several solo picks because healing and cooldown resets improve the whole team’s boss uptime.
On the other hand, a player who hates counter timing should not chase Soyama for its letter grade. A Water specialist can get more real value from Tomioka than from an unrelated clan with inactive bonuses. That is why the list uses tiers instead of pretending every player has the same rigid one-through-twenty order.
FAQ
What is the best clan in Slayers 2?
Rengoku is the strongest broad offensive pick in the current launch ranking. Kamado is especially valuable for Demons, while Agatsuma and Kocho can reach the top with their matching styles.
Is Kamado good for Slayers?
Yes, its damage, stamina, stun, and Combat Intuition still work. Demons gain more total value because regeneration and sun immunity solve faction-specific problems.
Why is Ubuyashiki only B tier?
Its experience and drop-luck utility is excellent for farming, but its direct combat statistics do not match the most powerful damage clans. Raise it for progression-focused accounts.
Should I reroll Shinazugawa?
Usually not during leveling. Its broad buffs, mastery, poison tools, and quest experience make it a dependable progression result.
Does this tier list rank rarity?
No. It ranks practical performance. A style-matched Legendary or Mythic can beat a Supreme result that wastes half its kit on your build.
