Step 1: reach about -500 reputation
Reputation is the first gate. You can lower it by defeating Kanoe Demon Slayers in the snow zone or civilian NPCs in settlements. Kanoe enemies provide a repeatable combat loop, while civilians are easier for an underleveled character.
Keep going until “Find me at nightfall” appears on screen. That message is the checkpoint, so do not rely on an estimated kill count. You can switch between Kanoe enemies and civilians without breaking the route.
Finish any Slayer-only goals you still care about before starting this grind. Once you commit to negative reputation and the Demon quests, going back is not a casual mid-route decision.
Step 2: meet Muzan at night
Head north from the bear area to Mistfall Harbor. Muzan is available only at night. If daylight has started, wait for the next night or join another server instead of searching unrelated regions.
Talk to him and choose “Take the bell.” Selecting “Not yet” declines the offer, so the Biwa Bell will not enter your inventory. Equip the bell and use it to teleport to Muzan’s Lair.
Keep the bell available throughout the questline. If nothing happens when you try it, make sure the item is equipped and that you accepted Muzan’s offer.
Step 3: carry Dr. Higoshima back
Muzan first sends you to retrieve Dr. Higoshima. Follow the waypoint, pick up the doctor, and carry him to the fixed hand-in point.
Do not stop for every Slayer that spawns during the escort. More attackers will keep coming. Dash past them, use terrain to open space, and manage stamina so you can continue moving. Fight only when someone blocks the route or knocks you out of the carry state. Before grabbing the doctor, refill stamina and look at the return path so you know which direction to run.
Step 4: find nine Spider Lilies
The next objective requires nine Spider Lilies. They appear around the map, but a repeatable launch route is to scan the Water Trainee area, take the available flowers, and change servers before checking the same places again.
Use the same short route each time:
- Enter the Water Trainee area.
- Check the nearby spawn points you know.
- Pick up every visible Spider Lily.
- Join another server once the area is empty.
