Every trainer location
Slayers 2 has eight breathing trainers spread from the cliffs near spawn to Iceveil Valley. Reach level 25, unlock Wall Climb and Double Jump, then visit the trainer you want before gathering materials. The NPC’s current dialogue gives the cost for the version running in your server.

Routes from the starting cliffs
Serpent trainer Obari
Leave the beginner village in the direction of the open fields and bear quest. Stay on the cliffside path, climb the stepped stone ledges and trees, then pull the camera back near the top. Obari stands in an alcove tight against the mountain wall. The alcove blends into the rock, so it is easy to walk directly beneath him.
Thunder trainer Zentaro
Begin around the bear or Bamboo Grove route, cross toward the river, and pass the Obari boss side. From there, climb the large rock pillars and tree trunks. Stop on safe ledges to recover stamina instead of trying to scale the full face in one go. Zentaro waits on the flat summit.
Water trainer Urokodaki
Travel from Bamboo Grove toward the water and find the small structure near the cliff. The entrance is submerged. Dive through the concealed hole, swim along the tunnel, and climb into the air pocket beyond it. If your oxygen is already low, surface before beginning the longer swim.
Mistfall and Butterfly Estate
Insect trainer Shinora
Follow the grassy hills and stone paths from the beginner route toward Butterfly Estate, then drop near the large boulders. Enter the grounds, pass the Insect Trainee, and look behind the main mansion. Shinora is on the raised walkway beneath the purple trees, not on the ground.
Flame trainer Rengu
Go toward Mistfall Harbor, cross the suspension bridges and water, then climb the cliffs past the Rengu boss area and long red bridge. The trainer stands on a small rooftop ledge behind the main wooden house. Set a spawn nearby before training, since several objectives send you away and back.
Mountain and snow routes
Stone trainer Gyorei
Take the beginning of the Thunder route from the bear area, pass the Torii gate, and choose the lower branch instead of climbing to the summit. Gyorei stands outside a temple-like training building. The nearby Stone Trainee is connected to the Axe and Mace that the style needs, so the unlock includes a weapon-drop step.
Sound trainer Tengai
Enter Iceveil Valley through the snow town and continue toward the high cliffs. Wall Climb, Double Jump, and a lantern make the journey much safer. Cold damage continues while you search, so avoid standing still on open snow. After following the mountain to the right, find Tengai on a high platform tucked against the rock.
Wind trainer Saneri
Use the same approach into the snow, but descend toward the frozen water rather than making Sound’s highest climb. Look for an ice platform around the central water and waterfall ledge. Wind has a costly horn requirement, so read Saneri’s current prompt before beginning the farm.
Materials and movement checklist
Level 25 is the shared entry gate. Each style then adds its own cost. Flame, Thunder, Sound, and Wind use Demon Horns; Serpent and Stone use Beast Cores; Water uses Wen and horns; Stone also needs the Axe and Mace. Some totals have changed or differ between posted guides, particularly for Serpent and Insect. Let the NPC dialogue settle the amount before you farm.
Demon caves around the Mother Bear area are a convenient source of basic horns. High Demons in Iceveil can shorten the grind because they award more horns. For cores, hunt the relevant beast-type demons on the Mistfall side of the map. Carry the requested items when speaking to the trainer. Finding the NPC by itself does not unlock the style.
Finish the unlock
Once the trainer accepts you, a chain of minigames begins. Common tasks include meditation, cup tracking, push-ups, aim training, and boulder splitting. Use the quest icons to find the interaction points. Water adds an underwater collection task, while other styles can swap in a strength exercise or route-specific job.
The final objective is a duel with the matching trainee. Block its full string, punish the recovery with a short M1 sequence, and keep at least one skill ready for its next attack. After winning, press M and open the Skill Tree. Buy the first breathing node with skill points and use that technique in combat to build mastery.
Route-planning mistakes
- Attempting Thunder or Sound without Wall Climb.
- Entering Iceveil without a lantern or enough health to endure the cold.
- Diving for Water with a partly empty oxygen bar.
- Farming a posted cost before reading the current trainer prompt.
- Forgetting to set a spawn near a remote trainee fight.
One trip through each region
Good routing cuts down on empty trips across the map. Before leaving the starter area, unlock movement and mark the Serpent route. Check Obari immediately if you want Serpent. For Thunder or Stone, continue from the bear area to their shared mountain path. Its lower branch reaches Gyorei, and the vertical branch reaches Zentaro.
Butterfly Estate places several useful objectives close together. The Insect trainer is behind the mansion, common training minigames are spread around the grounds, and the route later continues toward Final Selection. Finish every active estate task before returning to the trainer’s side of the map.
Treat Iceveil as a separate, prepared trip. Bring a lantern, arrive with Wall Climb, and learn both snow routes while you are there. Wind is lower by the frozen water, while Sound is high on the cliff. Knowing both landmarks saves another cold crossing if you switch styles later.
When the trainer says no
Read the whole prompt before leaving. A refusal generally names a missing level, material, currency amount, movement condition, faction, or weapon. Reaching the correct coordinates does not mean the NPC is broken.
Check the requirements in this order:
- Make sure you are level 25 and follow the Slayer route.
- Put the required materials in your inventory instead of storage.
- Compare the current total with the guide you used.
- Equip any weapon required by the style.
- Leave and rejoin only after every visible condition is met.
If the quest tracker appears but the style is still missing after the duel, inspect each objective. A minigame can remain unfinished even after the trainee falls. Return to that marked station, complete the task, and check the Skill Tree again.
